Gate Agent Application (JET) Design System
Project Objective: Analyze the current version of the JET application and identify opportunities for improvement through user interviews and testing. Compile a list of opportunities through those learnings and prioritizing that list and establish a roadmap for execution. Update the look and feel of the JET application with recently released design system as well as provide application support for tablet breakpoints.
Process: Leverage recently released design system to update the JET application look and feel by using components to ensure consistency across the entire United Airlines employee product suite. Identify scenarios where custom components need to be created for specific user needs in the JET application and add these components to the existing design system. Ensure components are responsive so they work effectively in all breakpoints (desktop, tablet, mobile).
Result: A clean and intuitive update to a legacy application that makes it easier for users of our platform to manage their customers check-in items such as, checking bags, updating seating assignments, printing boarding passes and other administrative tools to accommodate customer needs for their flight.
